The Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) has commenced the application process for its 12-month tech entrepreneurship training programme.
Established in Ghana in 2008 by serial entrepreneur Jorn Lyseggen, MEST is a pan-African software and entrepreneurship training initiative, seed fund, and incubator dedicated to launching technology startups across the continent.
The fully-sponsored 12-month training programme, based in Accra, guides aspiring entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas into viable startup businesses. The curriculum covers various modules, including software development, go-to-market strategies, sales strategies, UI/UX design, communications, and more.
Designed to prepare candidates to pitch their startup ideas for funding, the program aims to launch businesses that address local and global challenges through software technology. Participants will benefit from an extensive curriculum and mentorship by industry leaders and international experts, with the opportunity to secure seed funding and business incubation for their startups.
MEST’s impact is evident in its training of over 1,000 entrepreneurs and the support of more than 90 funded startups across the continent.
“Our mission at MEST is to empower the next generation of African tech innovators,” stated Emily Fiagbedzi, Director of the MEST Training Programme. “The Class of 2025 presents an exciting opportunity to nurture and elevate the brightest minds, equipping them with the skills and resources needed to drive impactful change across the continent through their tech startups.”
Applications are open until March 18th. The program is scheduled to commence in August. Interested candidates can apply here
