Nigerian startups can apply for the Sterling Bank Green Innovation Challenge, an exciting opportunity designed to empower businesses at the forefront of sustainability, agriculture, and clean tech innovation. The challenge is open to startups, SMEs, and social enterprises that are committed to driving positive environmental change through innovative solutions.

This year’s edition offers a grant of up to NGN2 million for cleantech and social enterprise initiatives, while ventures in the agricultural sector can access up to NGN20 million in single-digit financing facilities. Additionally, businesses that present viable cleantech projects may qualify for on-lending financing up to NGN1 billion, opening doors to further growth opportunities.

Applications are open until October 20, 2024, and the challenge welcomes projects that focus on areas such as battery recycling, electric vehicle (EV) technology, and conversion of internal combustion engine vehicles (ICE) to EVs.
