Innovate47, a leading international entrepreneur support organization (ESO) based in Pakistan, has announced the expansion of its flagship Climate Action Accelerator program to Africa. The initiative now includes founders from countries such as South Africa, Malawi, Kenya, Ghana, and Nigeria, marking a significant step in fostering cross-border collaboration and tackling global sustainability challenges.

The Climate Action Accelerator is designed to significantly empower entrepreneurs working on innovative and scalable solutions to combat the climate crisis. The program connects founders with the resources, networks, and expertise necessary to transform their ideas into impactful ventures that drive sustainability.

“Expanding Innovate47 into Africa represents an exciting step forward in building a truly collaborative, global ecosystem of changemakers,” said Umair Sheikh, founder of Innovate47. “The entrepreneurial talent across Africa is extraordinary, and by connecting these innovators with the right resources, networks, and mentorship, we aim to accelerate the development of groundbreaking solutions to the climate crisis. Innovate47 is committed to breaking barriers, fostering cross-border collaboration, and creating a platform where impactful ideas thrive and scale.”

A Hub for Climate Innovation

The Climate Action Accelerator serves as a hub for ambitious founders dedicated to creating impactful solutions that address sustainability challenges. Over the course of three months, participants engage in:

  • Interactive Workshops: Focusing on critical aspects of startup growth and climate innovation.
  • One-on-One Mentorship: Tailored guidance from global mentors with expertise in entrepreneurship and sustainability.
  • Access to Investors and Industry Experts: Connecting startups with funding opportunities and thought leaders in the climate space.

Moreover, the accelerator’s second cohort features a diverse mix of early-stage and growth-stage startups, reflecting the depth of entrepreneurial talent across Africa.

A Global Mission

Innovate47’s expansion into Africa is a pivotal milestone in its broader mission to build a global ecosystem dedicated to empowering changemakers who tackle pressing environmental challenges. This strategic move underscores Innovate47’s commitment to fostering innovation that transcends borders, creating an interconnected network of entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and investors who are united in their pursuit of sustainable solutions.

Furthermore, by introducing its flagship Climate Action Accelerator to Africa, Innovate47 seeks to harness the continent’s extraordinary entrepreneurial talent and untapped potential. Africa has long been recognized as a fertile ground for innovation, particularly in the face of climate-related challenges that directly impact local communities. The program not only provides participants with access to essential resources, networks, and mentorship but also creates a platform for African innovators to showcase their ideas on a global stage, driving meaningful change and collaboration across regions.

Through this initiative, Innovate47 is not just broadening the geographical scope of its program but also reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity and diversity in innovation. The organization recognizes that solving the world’s most pressing environmental problems requires a collective effort and believes that Africa’s contribution is indispensable to achieving a sustainable global future.
