Senegalese e-health startup Eyone has been crowned the winner of the Africa’s Business Heroes (ABH) 2025 competition, taking home a grand prize of US$300,000. The prestigious competition, backed by the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Philanthropy, recognizes and supports outstanding African entrepreneurs who are driving impact and innovation across the continent.
Since its launch in 2019, the ABH competition has become one of Africa’s most influential entrepreneurial platforms, awarding a total of US$1.5 million annually to 10 exceptional entrepreneurs. Beyond financial grants, ABH provides high-impact training, mentorship, and unparalleled networking opportunities, equipping African founders with the tools they need to scale their businesses and maximize their impact.
This year’s edition saw a record-breaking 20,000 applications from all 54 African countries, reflecting the growing entrepreneurial spirit across the continent. After a rigorous selection process, 10 finalists were chosen in October 2024, representing a diverse range of industries from healthtech and agritech to cleantech and fintech.

It motivates us to continue tackling the big challenges our country faces,” said Henri Ousmane Gueye, CEO of Eyone.
