Twelve South African ed-tech startups have been selected for the third edition of the Injini Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship, a program designed to provide funding, mentorship, and other critical support to innovative education technology companies.
Founded in 2017, Injini, a UVU Africa Group member, is a registered non-profit dedicated to improving educational outcomes across Sub-Saharan Africa. As the only ed-tech specialized accelerator on the continent, Injini operates through research and tailored programs under the Injini Think Tank, aiming to enhance education quality, accessibility, and relevance in the region.
TechMoonshot previously reported that Injini partnered with the Mastercard Foundation in 2023 to launch the EdTech Fellowship, focused on supporting South African ed-tech startups. The initiative offers direct grant funding, product evaluation, skill development, coaching, mentorship, market research, and access to networks.
