Ivory Coast-based eyecare startup Lapaire secures $3 million in equity funding for expansion.
Founded in 2018, Lapaire delivers a trusted and accessible eyecare experience, offering stylish, quality eyeglasses at fair prices through a one-stop-shop customer-centric approach.
To date, Lapaire has conducted eyesight tests for over 300,000 individuals, positively impacting the lives of 180,000. Operating 58 branches in six African countries – Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Uganda.

Lapaire’s recent $3 million funding round, led by Investisseurs & Partenaires (I&P) and supported by AAIC, FINCA Ventures, and Beyond Capital, will fuel the expansion into current and new African markets. The funds will also be utilized to optimize operations, with a goal of establishing 300 new eye care centers across Africa.
