LBS-BOI Business Innovation Accelerator Cohort III Now Open.

The LBS-BOI Business Innovation Accelerator (BIA) is a joint initiative of Lagos Business School (LBS) in partnership with the Bank of Industry (BOI). This program is designed to deliver top-notch entrepreneurship training and empowerment to Nigerian entrepreneurs spanning the six geo-political zones. The primary goal is to nurture and scale impact-driven entrepreneurs who employ for-profit business models to effectively address challenges, thereby fostering positive societal transformation.

To date, the program has successfully reached two regions of Nigeria – the South West and North Central regions – providing training to over 120 entrepreneurs in these respective geo-political zones.

The upcoming 3rd cohort of the Entrepreneurship Accelerator Program is set to encompass the Southeast region of Nigeria, specifically targeting Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo.

This program is designed to guide entrepreneurs through a transformative journey, providing essential insights on scaling their businesses. It equips them with the knowledge, support, and connections necessary to thrive and emerge as global industry leaders in the 21st century, contributing to the growth of the Nigerian entrepreneurial landscape.

LBS-BIO Accelerator Cohort III

Accelerator Program Modules

The 9-month Accelerator program is structured into four (4) modules:

  1. Entrepreneurship Orientation & Business Management Training (6 weeks): This initial phase focuses on imparting essential business skills and fostering entrepreneurial orientation for sustainable business growth. Participants also have the opportunity to earn a MiniMBA from Lagos Business School.
  2. Apprenticeship/Technical Mentoring (6 months): Entrepreneurs undergo a six-month apprenticeship, engaging in hands-on experience and developing specialized skills by working closely with established industry leaders. This phase aims to enhance their capabilities and excel in their respective industries.
  3. Training on Access to Market (2 weeks): During this phase, entrepreneurs receive guidance from experienced facilitators and entrepreneurs on expanding their market reach, accessing the export market (AFCFTA), and accelerating overall growth.
  4. Training on Access to Funding (2 weeks): Entrepreneurs delve into learning and exploring sustainable funding opportunities to accelerate their business growth potential. The program culminates with an Investor Pitch event, bringing together a curated selection of impactful entrepreneurs and investors.

Who Should Apply for This Program?

  • Your business must be an established entity registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
  • Your business should demonstrate innovation and possess substantial potential for scalability.
  • Preference is given to businesses in specific sectors, particularly in Agriculture and Manufacturing.
  • Your business should be situated in the South-East Region of Nigeria, specifically in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, or Imo.
  • You must be physically available for the initial 6-week phase of the program, held in Lagos.
