Mastercard and Women Choice are enhancing their collaboration to further support the development of women entrepreneurs across Africa and the Middle East with the introduction of two new programs.

Women Choice, an international organization dedicated to advancing women’s personal and professional growth, initiated its pilot cohort in 2023. Mastercard, a leader in global financial services, has consistently provided women with access to digital tools, training, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

Together, they have broadened their partnership to launch the ImpactHer and EmpowerHer programs, aimed at assisting women entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses and generating employment opportunities in Africa and the Middle East.

These programs will provide extensive support through training and mentorship, enabling women entrepreneurs to create jobs for other women in their industries.

“At Mastercard, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and equitable world where everyone has the chance to prosper. Our expanded partnership with Women Choice will significantly impact women’s employment across the region, equipping women entrepreneurs with the necessary skills, resources, and tools to succeed and stimulate economic growth,” said Amnah Ajmal, executive vice president for market development for EEMEA at Mastercard.

“We are delighted with the success of our 2023 program in collaboration with Mastercard and are excited to continue expanding this partnership into 2024. We are now focused on scaling our impact. Our commitment to transforming the workplace for women and supporting women-led businesses is crucial for the economic growth and prosperity of the Middle East and Africa region,” said Nezha Alaoui, founder and CEO of Women Choice.
