African agrifood startups are invited to apply for the US$1 million THRIVE Global Impact Challenge, which aims to support the transition to a net-zero future for agriculture. This prestigious challenge seeks to identify and support innovative startups dedicated to creating a more sustainable agricultural future.
The THRIVE Global Impact Challenge is a worldwide search for groundbreaking startups that are advancing sustainability in agriculture. By focusing on key areas of innovation, the challenge aims to address some of the most pressing issues facing the global agrifood industry.
Aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, the Global Impact Challenge focuses on five key themes: sustainable food production, food security, reducing waste, climate-smart agriculture, and ecosystem resilience. Finalists from each theme will progress to the finals, where they will have the opportunity to pitch their solutions at the THRIVE Global Impact Summit. The summit will culminate in the announcement of the overall winner, who will receive significant recognition and support.

The winning company will be awarded the THRIVE Global Impact Challenge Award, securing a place in THRIVE’s award-winning Global Accelerator Programme. This includes an investment of up to US$1 million from SVG Ventures, providing the winning startup with crucial financial support to scale its operations and enhance its impact. Additionally, the winner will have the chance to pitch live at the THRIVE Global Impact Summit in Silicon Valley, gaining exposure to a global audience of investors, industry leaders, and potential partners.
