Applications are now open for the fourth edition of GameUp Africa, an esteemed training initiative spearheaded by Maliyo Games. This program aims to empower and support aspiring game developers and creators across the continent by providing them with the resources and skills needed to thrive in the global games market.

Launched in 2021, GameUp Africa has been dedicated to fostering young African talent through a comprehensive five-month in-house training program. This initiative is driven by Maliyo Games, a Lagos-based game development studio renowned for its African-inspired mobile games, boasting a portfolio of over 40 games.

“We’re extremely proud to announce the fourth edition of GameUp Africa,” said Hugo Obi, founder and CEO of Maliyo Games. “This achievement underscores the significant impact and enduring success of the program. This year, we’re expanding our focus to include even more critical skills required for success in both the local and global gaming industries.”

Applications for the fourth edition of GameUp Africa are open until August 11.
