In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, cybersecurity remains a cornerstone for safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring the integrity of interconnected systems. As the world becomes increasingly reliant on technology, the importance of cybersecurity cannot be overstated. However, in our pursuit of improving digital defenses, we must not overlook the crucial aspect of inclusivity.
Theme: “Inclusion as a Driver for Growth”
CyBlack is proud to announce its annual conference with the theme “Inclusion as a Driver for Growth.” This year’s conference underscores the vital role that diversity and inclusivity play in fostering innovation, resilience, and sustainable growth within the cybersecurity industry.
Why Inclusion Matters
At CyBlack, we recognize that diverse perspectives, talents, and experiences of individuals from various backgrounds are not just a moral imperative but also a strategic imperative for the industry’s advancement. By embracing inclusivity, we can drive positive change and enhance our collective ability to address cybersecurity challenges effectively.
Conference Objectives
For CyBlack, this year’s objectives are :
Breaking Systematic Barriers: The conference aims to drive conversations on the systematic barriers hindering inclusion in cybersecurity. The discussion will candidly address the lack of access to required resources and career advancement opportunities. Participants will engage in discussions, share experiences, and develop active strategies to promote inclusion within the industry.
Inclusion’s Strategic Impact: We will explore how inclusion benefits organizations. The discussion will focus on practical steps to drive real change and improve inclusion, emphasizing its potential for growth and resilience.
Amplifying Underrepresented Voices: The conference will provide a platform for underrepresented voices to share their experiences. By promoting different perspectives, we aim to foster empathy and create a more inclusive cybersecurity community.
This year’s event will be held at DiSH, Manchester, for the second time. DiSH offers growing digital security businesses and the wider Greater Manchester community with access to business support, mentoring, dedicated growth programmes, training, and career opportunities through a consortium of Barclays Eagle Labs, Plexal, Lancaster University, and The University of Manchester.
