Egypt’s Edtech Startup iSchool Secures $4.5 Million Funding.

iSchool, an Egyptian ed-tech startup, has successfully raised $4.5 million in a recent funding round led by VentureWave Capital, signaling a significant boost for its global expansion plans. The funding will not only support the establishment of a new team in Dublin, Ireland, but also serve as a catalyst for iSchool’s venture into untapped markets, solidifying its standing as a leader in coding education for children.

Founded in 2018, iSchool distinguishes itself by offering live, gamified coding classes tailored for students aged 6-18. Its comprehensive curriculum covers sought-after skills, including Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, app development, game development, and web development.

The startup has gained substantial traction in the Middle East and North Africa, securing leadership positions in computer science labs, technical training, and partnerships with 35 schools. iSchool has notably spearheaded national-level initiatives in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Currently boasting a student base of over 26,000, 1 million training hours, and 10 million lines of code written by young learners, iSchool has laid a robust foundation for further expansion.

The $4.5 million investment will play a pivotal role in fueling iSchool’s ambitious expansion plans. The newly established Dublin office will strategically serve as an international hub, facilitating market entry and fostering collaboration with global talent. Furthermore, the funding will empower iSchool to extend its footprint in the MENA region, scale its online platform, and broaden its impact in Sub-Saharan Africa.

This investment perfectly aligns with our mission to achieve social progress by supporting transformative entrepreneurs. We are thrilled to be a part of iSchool’s ambitious plans to introduce their distinctive educational model to new markets and empower the next generation of technology leaders.
