Nigerian startup alGROWithm has recently obtained funding to expand its proprietary Growth Talent Accelerator Programme (GTAP), aiming to reach more individuals across six African countries.
Established in March 2022, alGROWithm has developed the GTAP to offer ed-tech solutions specifically designed for growth hackers.
With the new funding acquired from Digital Africa, alGROWithm plans to provide scholarships for aspiring growth hackers wishing to participate in its programs, thereby facilitating the company’s expansion into additional African markets.
The expansion welcomes applicants from Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and South Africa, broadening its reach beyond its initial focus on Nigeria and Ghana. Additionally, alGROWithm has introduced GTAP Lite and GTAP Pro, two tailored programs designed to cater to the needs of individuals and companies, respectively.
“Since initiating our pilot program in 2022, we’ve pinpointed two pivotal needs within the ecosystem. First is the continuing need for skilled growth hackers, as evidenced by the rapid employment of our graduates. Secondly, we’ve noticed a significant number of companies expressing interest in enhancing the skills of their current teams rather than exclusively hiring new talent,” explained Bili Sule, founder, and chief growth officer of alGROWithm.
“Our experience running the Pro model last year with companies like Paga, Figorr, and Kebble was very successful. This success has encouraged us to sustain both offerings. This year, we’re set to train over 150 growth leads throughout East, West, and Southern Africa. This effort underscores our dedication to filling the growth talent void in the ecosystem and pushing African businesses forward.”
