Bolt Nigeria, a prominent player in the ride-hailing industry, is extending fuel and insurance discounts to its drivers. This initiative was unveiled in a statement provided to Technext by the company. The fuel discount is a feature of the recently launched Bolt Rewards program.

The company has introduced the fuel discount as a measure to assist drivers in coping with the escalating fuel costs, which are critical to the operation of the mobility sector. The removal of fuel subsidies has led to a significant increase in fuel prices, prompting complaints from e-hailing drivers about the diminishing profitability of their work.

In addition to the fuel discount, Bolt is also offering discounts on insurance to help drivers cover any unforeseen repair expenses.

Yahaya Mohammed, the Country Manager, commented on these new benefits, emphasizing the company’s commitment to creating a positive environment for its drivers.

“At Bolt, we understand the importance of driver satisfaction in ensuring a superior service for riders. Through the Bolt Rewards program, we are excited to acknowledge and reward our dedicated drivers who consistently deliver high-quality ride-hailing services, with valuable rewards and discounts,” he stated.

Fuel Your Savings: Bolt’s Driver Rewards Program

Bolt has launched a driver rewards program designed to acknowledge and incentivize the high-quality ride-hailing services offered by its drivers. The program introduces tiered rewards and in-app discounts for eligible drivers.

The rewards system is structured into four levels, starting with the Bronze tier, advancing to Silver, then Gold, and culminating in the Platinum tier. The Platinum tier represents the pinnacle of rewards, offering the most significant discounts.

The program functions by automatically enrolling drivers through their app. Drivers earn points by completing rides within a month. The accumulation of more points is achieved through a higher number of completed rides, enabling drivers to progress through the tiers and unlock greater discounts.

Bolt Rewards aims to appreciate and incentivize driver partners by offering various benefits and discounts. The company views this program as a crucial component of its commitment to continually enhance the Driver app experience and to celebrate and support its driver community.

“Our driver rewards program signifies our ongoing commitment to enrich the driving experience on our platform. By offering rewards and discounts, we aim to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our drivers, ensuring they feel valued and supported,” the Country Manager explained.

The Rewards program is part of a series of recent enhancements by Bolt, all designed to support drivers in delivering exceptional ride-hailing services. Among these improvements is the Driver Compliments feature, which acknowledges drivers for outstanding service, offering encouragement via positive feedback and comments received after trips.

Additionally, Bolt has introduced updated incentives, including compensation for routes that involve long pickups. These enhancements aim to provide driver partners with more adaptable earning possibilities and ensure that riders can utilize Bolt’s ride-hailing services regardless of their location.
