Future Africa and CatalyzU have teamed up to launch the “How to Startup” fellowship, a seven-week program aimed at empowering African entrepreneurs by providing them with the crucial skills and knowledge required to establish and grow successful businesses.

Future Africa, a prominent pan-African VC firm, and CatalyzU, known for vetting, training, and placing Africa’s top talent, have initiated this new venture. The program targets startup founders, aspiring founders, startup employees, and corporate innovators who are keen to launch and scale innovative ideas across Africa.

Created by some of Africa’s leading founders and venture capitalists, the immersive fellowship program offers tailored, experiential training that extends beyond conventional entrepreneurship education. Participants will benefit from direct learning experiences, engaging with industry experts through live sessions and real-world case studies designed to deepen their understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the African startup ecosystem.

Karl Nchite, co-founder and CEO of CatalyzU

“Africa boasts a dynamic and rapidly evolving entrepreneurial scene, and we are excited to introduce this fellowship to nurture the next wave of African startups,” remarked Karl Nchite, co-founder and CEO of CatalyzU. “With hands-on learning experiences and access to a vast network of industry leaders, we are arming entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and support to transform their innovative ideas into successful enterprises.”

Upon completing the program, fellows will join the Young African Catalyst network – CatalyzU’s Alumni Network. This vibrant community consists of over 200 leading founders and venture capitalists across the continent, offering continuous support and opportunities for collaboration.

Applications for the CatalyzU “How to Startup” fellowship are now open.
