For thousands of young African freelancers, creators, and digital professionals, breaking into the global market has often been more dream than reality. Despite mastering skills and building impressive portfolios, many remain underpaid or invisible on the international stage.

Gigbanc is changing that. The fintech startup has officially launched the Gigbanc Global Talent Fellowship, a 12-week mentor-led fellowship designed to transform Africa’s brightest talents into globally competitive professionals.

Unlike short-term training programs or generic workshops, the fellowship acts as a launchpad—combining mentorship, real-world projects, and a community-driven ecosystem. Fellows will learn directly from seasoned global freelancers and industry leaders while executing projects that position them for international opportunities.

The goal is clear: help fellows move from uncertainty to earning $3,000+ per month within 90 days.

“Africa is full of extraordinary talent. What has been missing is the bridge—the opportunity that matches global demand and the mentors who show the way. The Gigbanc Global Talent Fellowship is that bridge” Paul Omoregie, CEO at Gigbanc

A Fellowship Built for Impact

  • Selective Cohort: Only 20 fellows will be chosen for the inaugural program.
  • Mentorship at the Core: Participants will be guided by freelancers, creators, and global professionals who have built thriving remote careers.
  • Multiplier Effect: Beyond their personal success, fellows are expected to reinvest knowledge and income into their communities—hiring collaborators, starting ventures, and inspiring peers to aim global.

The bigger picture is bold: to empower the next generation of Africa’s talent workforce, and to position the continent as the world’s next billion-dollar workforce hub.

“The fellowship isn’t just to train people, our aim is to be the catalyst that democratises global opportunities for Africans” Habeeb Ajijola, Head of Marketing at Gigbanc.
