Ten innovative companies, half of which are based in Africa, have been chosen to participate in Startup Boost, a global initiative aimed at supporting social impact startups. This program is orchestrated by tretton37, a Sweden-based technology consulting firm known for its collaborations with prominent clients such as Telia, Klarna, Paradox Interactive, Tibber, and ICA.
Launched in the latter part of 2023, Startup Boost is dedicated to offering pro bono assistance to startups poised to make significant contributions and challenge global paradigms.
From nearly 50 applicants, the selection was narrowed down to 10 startups, including five distinguished African enterprises. Representing Benin are Ahiyoyo, a digital product marketplace, and Aliments, a platform connecting consumers with farm produce.
The list also features Uganda’s Iguru Therapies, a service designed to help individuals find therapists; Iko Africa from Nigeria, offering a self-publishing platform; and Zupoto, a legal-tech platform poised to innovate the legal industry.
The remainder of the selected cohort includes startups from Sweden, Macedonia, the United Arab Emirates, and Slovenia, showcasing a diverse range of innovations and entrepreneurial spirit from across the globe.
These selected startups are set to receive complimentary support from tretton37 in critical areas such as programming, design, and strategic planning, tailored to their unique needs and challenges. This initiative not only highlights tretton37’s commitment to fostering social change through technology but also provides a significant boost to emerging companies looking to make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond.
