Opera Releases Overhauled iOS App with New Features.

Opera One iOS App.

Opera has officially launched its redesigned Opera One browser for iOS, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of mobile browsing. After extensive testing in the beta phase, the stable release brings a host of new features aimed at enhancing user experience and challenging the dominance of pre-installed browsers on iOS devices.

The standout feature of the new Opera One browser is the Bottom Search, a navigation style that places the search bar at the bottom of the screen. Users who frequently operate their devices with one hand will find this design choice particularly accessible and convenient. The Bottom Search joins two other navigation styles—Standard Navigation and Fast Action Button—giving users the flexibility to choose the one that best suits their needs.

Opera One enhances its search functionality to expedite and streamline browsing, in addition to the new navigation options. The browser now offers predictive search suggestions in the form of chipsets, which appear below the search box as users type. We expect this feature, along with the ability to swipe down to activate the search bar, to enhance the browsing experience’s intuitiveness and efficiency.

Opera has also focused on maximizing screen space and minimizing distractions. The browser’s design ensures that the top and bottom bars disappear when users start scrolling, allowing for a full-screen browsing experience.

That is not all, the color of the status bar adjusts to match the theme of the website being viewed, further enhancing the immersive experience opera one has to offer.

Another significant update replaces the old newsfeed with a new start page carousel. This carousel, which blends seamlessly into the wallpaper background, features personalized news, live scores, and product tips, offering users a clean and uncluttered start page.

Now to the major highlight, Opera One’s integration of the Aria AI assistant is the major highlight. First introduced in May 2023, Aria is a free, built-in AI that assists users with various tasks, from information retrieval to image generation. The latest version of Aria now includes voice input, allowing users to speak their queries instead of typing them. Additionally, Aria can generate images using Google’s Imagen2 model, making it a versatile tool for creative tasks.

The Opera One browser is now available for download on the App Store.
