Moroccan startup Userguest, which helps hotels optimize their revenues, has successfully closed a €2.2 million (US$2.4 million) seed funding round as it gears up for rapid expansion and product innovation.

Founded in 2018, Userguest offers a fully automated tool that enables hotels to maximize direct revenue from their websites by curating personalized messages and intelligent incentives for visitors.

The seed funding round was led by Al Mada Ventures, with participation from CDG Invest, Saviu Ventures, UM6P Ventures, Kalys VC, Plug & Play, and esteemed business angels Philippe Limes and Thane Kuhlman.

“This investment underscores our investors’ confidence in our vision to create an automated tool that optimizes conversions and revenue for hotels. Having established our market presence and earned the trust of leading hotel brands, we are now ready to elevate Userguest to new heights, enhancing hotel performance while enriching the user experience for both hoteliers and travelers,” said Userguest co-founder Hicham Benyebdri.

Userguest currently operates in over 30 countries and has generated more than US$100 million in direct revenue for hotels since 2019. The primary goal of this fundraising round is to accelerate growth and introduce innovative features and products. A significant portion of the funding will enhance the sales team, enabling the company to penetrate key markets further and solidify its position as a market leader in direct revenue optimization.
