ULÉ Homes, a Nigerian proptech startup, has emerged victorious at the Moonshot by TechCabal Battlefield pitch competition, securing first place after competing against thousands of applications from across the continent.
The company, co-founded by Chisom Okorie (Co-Founder and COO), Omolade Akinwumi, and Abdulyekeen Abdulazeez, fought through multiple rounds of competition to claim the top spot. The journey included making it to the Top 20, advancing through a mock competition, and ultimately securing a position in the Top 10 before winning the entire competition.

In a candid LinkedIn post, Okorie shared the emotional journey behind the win, revealing that public speaking was once a significant challenge. “When we first started Ule Homes, one thing I was terribly shy about was speaking publicly to a large audience about what we were building,” Okorie wrote. “I would literally give anything to my co-founders to pitch the idea.”
The COO’s transformation from avoiding the stage to embracing it reflects the startup’s own evolution. “Now? I’ll confess: I think I enjoy it a little too much these days!” she added.
