Vodafone & Microsoft Team Up On $1.5B User Experience Deal.

Vodafone, the prominent British telecom giant with operations spanning Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceania, has forged a decade-long strategic alliance with Microsoft. This collaboration aims to introduce generative AI, digital services, and cloud solutions to a vast user base of over 300 million businesses and consumers across Africa and Europe.

Over the next ten years, Vodafone and Microsoft will jointly invest $1.5 billion in cloud and customer-focused AI services, with Microsoft capitalizing on Vodafone’s extensive fixed and mobile connectivity.

The newly introduced digital services arising from this collaboration will harness advanced generative AI to deliver a personalized customer experience, placing a strong emphasis on unbiased and ethically sound privacy and security practices within the framework of Vodafone’s responsible AI initiatives.

The overarching goal is to stimulate financial innovation and cultivate a community of certified developers.
