Applications are now open for the second edition of the Intel Liftoff Hackathon for African AI startups. This virtual event, scheduled for May 27-31, invites tech entrepreneurs, software developers, and AI enthusiasts to collaborate and innovate solutions addressing key challenges across Africa.
Themed “Hack and Connect,” the hackathon is organized in partnership with Modus Africa, University Mohamed VI Polytechnic – Morocco, TUT Hub of Artificial Intelligence Institute of South Africa, Prosper Africa, UM6P Ventures, FAST Accelerator, Innov8 Technology Hubs, and Open Startups International.
Participants will benefit from hands-on workshops focused on AI essentials, face three days of challenging tasks with mentor guidance, and have opportunities to exhibit their startups. This event also offers a platform to forge partnerships with industry leaders and to network with peers, gaining invaluable insights from experts in the AI ecosystem.
Winners of the hackathon will be invited to join the Intel Liftoff for Startups program, where they will receive exclusive mentoring sessions from ecosystem partners and marketing support through blog articles.
