Applications are now open for the Africa Creative Blueprint (ACB), a transformative training initiative launched in partnership with USAID, Venture Garden Group (VGG), and Ascend Studios. This program is designed to empower women and youth across Nigeria by equipping them with the skills, resources, and mentorship needed to excel in the creative sector and compete on the global stage.
Launched in 2024, the Africa Creative Blueprint aims to strengthen Nigeria’s creative economy by addressing critical gaps in the industry, such as production quality, distribution channels, and intellectual property protections. Participants will receive hands-on training in TV production and related fields, culminating in the creation of a 13-episode, music-infused drama that blends entertainment with impactful social messages.
“The Africa Creative Blueprint marks a milestone for Nigeria’s creative sector,” said Inya Lawal, CEO of Ascend Studios. “Through this initiative, we’re building the infrastructure to develop world-class creative talent, showcasing African stories on a global platform, and driving transformative change in the industry.”

This program, supported by a $3.5 million investment, will train 3,500 Nigerian youth, with 200 participants contributing to the TV series’ production. Training will be held across six cities—Lagos, Abuja, Enugu, Kano, Benin, and Asaba to ensure widespread access.
Interested candidates can apply for roles such as directors, writers, producers, cinematographers, actors, and more. Applications for the Africa Creative Blueprint are open here until December 15, 2024.
