Egyptian logistics startup Nowlun secures $1.7M in seed funding.

Egyptian logistics startup Nowlun has raised $1.7 million in seed funding to accelerate its expansion plans and further develop its innovative freight forwarding platform. The funding round was led by Nama Ventures and A15, with participation from Sanabil 500 Global and notable angel investors.

Founded in 2021 by Moataz Khamis (CEO), Mahmoud Khaled (CTO), and Ahmed Emara (COO), Nowlun offers businesses a digital platform to simplify freight management through transparent and competitive ocean freight rates, real-time cargo tracking, and streamlined shipment management. Its cutting-edge technology integrates with major shipping lines, enabling users to access instant pricing and enhanced shipment visibility, empowering companies to make faster and more informed logistics decisions.

Since its inception, Nowlun has established a strong foothold in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) logistics space, particularly in the Saudi market, where it has demonstrated impressive traction. The platform’s advanced shipment management system includes a control tower dashboard, which allows businesses to track cargo movements, receive instant alerts, and proactively address potential disruptions.

“Throughout my decade in logistics, I’ve witnessed the daily inefficiencies shippers face,” said Moataz Khamis, CEO and co-founder of Nowlun. “This funding will empower us to further simplify the shipping process and provide innovative solutions to make shippers’ lives easier.”
