$50 Million Fintech Fund to Support Startups
One of the key announcements from the meeting was the Minister’s plan to establish a $50 million fintech fund aimed at empowering startups in the digital and financial technology sectors. The fund will provide business advisory services and capital investment, allowing startups to scale and contribute to Ghana’s growing digital economy.
Notably, this will be a revolving fund, meaning that as startups grow and mature, the government will exit its investments and reinvest the returns into new businesses, creating a sustainable cycle of innovation and entrepreneurship.

To support this effort, the Minister is working to revise outdated legislation, ensuring that a modern legal framework is in place to mandate data-sharing among government agencies and facilitate seamless data exchange.
