The eleventh edition of the Angel Fair Africa event will take place in Nairobi, Kenya on November 7-8, bringing together a select group of African entrepreneurs and curated investors to facilitate business deals and foster innovation.

Held for the first time in September 2013, Angel Fair Africa has built a reputation as a premier platform for connecting emerging businesses with potential investors. Over the years, the event has been hosted in various major African cities including Johannesburg, Lagos, Accra, Nairobi, Abidjan, Maputo, Dar es Salaam, Mauritius, and, last year, in Cape Town. Each location has contributed to the event’s rich history and success, creating a legacy of impactful networking and investment opportunities.

The 2016 edition also took place in Nairobi, marking a significant milestone in the event’s history. Now, returning to Nairobi in November, Angel Fair Africa 2024 aims to bring together accelerators, incubators, and emerging businesses from across the African continent, alongside a distinguished group of investors. This gathering is expected to catalyze new ventures and partnerships, driving forward the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Africa.

Dr. James Mworia, Group Managing Director and CEO of Centum Investments Company, will deliver the keynote address. Centum Investments Company is renowned for promoting the Two Rivers International Financial and Innovation Centre (TRIFIC), and Dr. Mworia’s insights are anticipated to inspire and guide participants towards successful collaborations and investments.

The event will feature a variety of activities designed to maximize interaction and deal-making opportunities. Entrepreneurs will have the chance to pitch their ideas to a panel of investors, participate in workshops, and engage in one-on-one meetings. These sessions are tailored to help startups refine their business models, gain valuable feedback, and secure funding.

Additionally, Angel Fair Africa 2024 will offer networking sessions that allow participants to build relationships with peers, mentors, and industry leaders. These connections are crucial for fostering a supportive community that can provide ongoing advice, resources, and support long after the event concludes.

By convening a diverse group of stakeholders, including accelerators, incubators, entrepreneurs, and investors, Angel Fair Africa aims to create a dynamic environment that promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth across the continent. The event’s focus on real-time deal-making and strategic partnerships underscores its commitment to turning visionary ideas into tangible business opportunities.

Participants can expect a comprehensive agenda that not only highlights the latest trends and opportunities in the African startup ecosystem but also addresses the challenges and solutions needed to propel these businesses to the next level. Topics such as scaling operations, accessing international markets, and leveraging technology for growth will be discussed in depth, providing attendees with actionable insights and strategies.
