The Green Innovation Hub (GiH) at the African Centre for a Green Economy has announced a call for applications for its Just Transition Innovation Programme (JTIP). This program is actively seeking innovative green enterprises that are ready to drive Africa’s climate action and low-carbon transition. By nurturing enterprises focused on sustainability, JTIP aims to play a pivotal role in mitigating climate change and promoting environmental resilience across the continent.

The Just Transition Innovation Programme is meticulously designed to support green enterprises through a comprehensive framework that includes formal business development training, personalized coaching, and enhanced visibility. Participants will engage in a structured curriculum that covers essential aspects of business growth and sustainability practices, ensuring they are well-equipped to succeed in the green economy.

Our aim is to prepare entrepreneurs to scale their enterprises, create job opportunities.

“Our aim is to prepare entrepreneurs to scale their enterprises, create job opportunities, and help countries achieve their climate adaptation and mitigation goals. By fostering collaboration and networking, we empower entrepreneurs to explore opportunities beyond their borders and connect with investors and stakeholders,” the organizers said.

In addition to the formal training, the program emphasizes personalized coaching tailored to the specific needs of each enterprise. This bespoke approach ensures that participants receive relevant guidance and support to overcome challenges and leverage opportunities unique to their business contexts.

One of the standout features of the program is its focus on enhanced visibility for the participating enterprises. By providing platforms for exposure and engagement, JTIP helps green businesses gain recognition, attract potential investors, and build strategic partnerships. This increased visibility is crucial for scaling their ventures and achieving long-term sustainability.

The program offers a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to refine their business models, access mentorship and funding, and scale their ventures for maximum impact. By participating in JTIP, entrepreneurs can significantly accelerate their growth trajectories and contribute meaningfully to Africa’s green economy.

Applications for the Just Transition Innovation Programme are now open and will remain so until July 31. Interested entrepreneurs and green enterprises are encouraged to apply here to take advantage of this transformative opportunity. By joining the program, participants will not only enhance their business acumen but also become integral contributors to the continent’s journey toward a sustainable and low-carbon future.
